Well, considering that the "bacon strips" in the commercials are actually composites of plastic, glue, and other chemicals... you technically get more in real life.

The cearial that they show on boxes and in commercials actually have glue instead of milk in them.
I remember hearing that on a tv "How do they do that" program.
Mmmmm.... glue.

*Drinking a bottle of Elmer's glue.* What? It's nontoxic. *Continues drinking.*

Actually, a good number of laws have been passed over the past couple of decades stating that they have to use actual food products in commercials.
Whether or not those laws are actually adhered to is an entirely different story . . .

Well, comercials....
I don't watch tv and rarly read comics, so the only commercials I get are the plakats at the side of streets. But that's already too much if you ask me.

I really don't watch that much television either. I don't have cable or sattellite and I have no inclination to get either.
I have a few shows I like to watch but I can get those on the local stations. So I hardly see any commercials. I like it that way.

WHY?! WHY DID POE HAVE TO CANCEL EXPLOITATION NOW?! JUST WHEN HE HAD A GOOD STORY GOING!!! Oh well, there is always Errant Story.
Yeah, I hate commercials. But you just have to accept that the majority of society is inordinately stupid, and there's nothing that one person can do about it. We've caught ourselves in a vacuum. The smart people (who actually think for themselves) glide up to the top, and the stupid people (including the people who believe that pot is better than college will ever be) stay on the bottom and get trampled on. Personally, I use it to my advantage. Now that's not to say that I'm an opportunist, but talking about quantum physics and thermodynamics in a squad of jocks is always good for a laugh.
