Yay! Sir Dominic is back! ;D
Nor or many of them actually X-Men, but we'll overlook that for the moment.
Yah, you'd really think that the son of Magneto would be a little more . . . butch.
Wizard magazine once had this article detailing the ten toughest characters in comics. Both Prof X and the Flash were on that list. Flash was much higher than Prof X because (I both quote and agree with) "Knowing the Flash is one-tenth of a nanosecond away from clocking you isn't going to do you much good. Bye-bye, Chuck."
True, but as I said before, Proteus is one of those folks on this list that isn't actually an X-Man.
Well, you need to at least explain which Phoenix he's going up against. The good M'Kran Crystal Phoenix and the Dark Phoenix, sure, they'd probably stomp him flat after a while. But regular ol' Jean Summers Phoenix? Not a chance.
And even with the super-powerful forms of Phoenix, it's within the realm of possibility. While she can travel from star system to star system hyper-fast and all, I don't think it was ever shown that she has jacked-up reaction times otherwise.
However, his main weakness is that all of his powers stem directly from his own self-confidence. It's been shown before that if Gladiator can be made to doubt his powers for even a second, he's no more powerful than your average Joe. Even that punkass Cannonball managed to take this clown down once, all by himself!
Pfft. If Cable can beat Apocalypse into submission, Sonic can.

(by the way you are right he is a pansy-ass. )

Professor X
How can Sonic beat him if he believes he's falling of a cliff of being eaten alive by maggots, mind over matter Jimmy boy!

Protous
With his ability to completely manipulate the first, second and third dimensions within a given area he could render Sonic’s speed completely irreverent.

The Phoenix
Do I even need to bother to explain this one?! ;D

Gladiator
He's a hell of a lot faster than Sonic, being able to cross the solar system in minutes, if not seconds and he is almost invulnerable, not to mention his super strength.

Apocalypse
Ok I'll be honest I hate the guy, he looks like a clown and acts really, really stupid a lot of the time but none the less he cannot die 'ever' and so if they we're forced to fight he would eventually win because Sonic would get tired fighting constantly.
